In the heart of the City of Turin, at the civic administration headquarters, the XIII International Gathering of the Equipes Notre-Dame of Turin 2024 was presented, an event that takes over from Fatima 2018.

Turin, a city rich in history, culture, and both religious and secular social traditions, with its vibrant local Church full of spirituality and as the custodian of the Holy Shroud, is ready to welcome and host the Equipiers. Many authorities are present, the media with the international END responsibles, and representatives of the Turin 2024 coordination.

In her address, Turin’s Deputy Mayor Michela Favaro welcomed everyone, stating, “Hosting the XIII International Gathering of the Equipes Notre-Dame in Turin is a source of pride for our city. Turin, the city of Social Saints, is a laboratory of hospitality and solidarity, and one of its priorities is to think about the well-being of people and families of today and tomorrow.” Regional Councillor Maurizio Marrone added, “Piedmont, land of the Shroud and Social Saints, will warmly welcome the over seven thousand people coming to Turin to celebrate the family in the light of Christian teaching.”

Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of Turin, Monsignor Alessandro Giraudo, expressed gratitude, emphasizing, “Piedmont, land of the Shroud and Social Saints, will warmly welcome the over seven thousand people coming to Turin to celebrate the family in the light of Christian teaching.”

Finally, Clarita and Edgardo Bernal, international leaders of the END, thanked Turin, its church, and its civic community for their hospitality, stating, “The gathering, with the motto ‘Let us go with a burning heart,’ will include moments of prayer and Eucharist, featuring prominent lay and religious speakers who will address current topics related to the life we are experiencing as Catholics, life testimonies from various cultural realities, and meetings for reflection and exchange of ideas.”
