The Teams of Our Lady gathering, held today at the Inalpi Arena, explored the theme of suffering and hope through the lens of Christian faith. Marina Marcolini, a poet and writer, emphasized the importance of questioning and reflecting on human suffering. According to Marcolini, one should not feel guilty about their weaknesses, as it is the presence of Christ that brings healing and hope to a humanity often troubled by its own fragilities. Quoting Pope Francis, she reminded us that Christ, being alive, is the source of hope and youth for the world, capable of renewing and enlivening everything He touches.

Cardinal Tolentino De Mendonca further enriched the reflection by highlighting the importance of the Eucharist. He referenced the Christian martyrs of Abilene, persecuted by Diocletian in the 4th century, affirming, “Without the Eucharist, we cannot live.”

The Christian proposal, also represented by the Teams of Our Lady movement, truly addresses everyone’s needs. The silence in prayers, the beauty of the music, and the presence of diverse individuals at the Inalpi Arena bear witness to this.

It is evident from the behavior of those present that humans cannot fulfill themselves alone, and in encountering others, there is also an answer to human needs. Many attendees wore traditional clothing, showcasing differences that coexist and are valued in the beauty of this movement. From South America, Africa, Europe, and Oceania, the Teams of Our Lady  proposal transcends cultural and linguistic differences without flattening them.
