This afternoon’s program had the participants of the Gathering split into two large groups. The church of Turin will be portrayed through two profoundly different yet evocative approaches: a theatrical performance focusing on the figures of Social Saints and Prophets, and a spiritual itinerary visiting the sites of Don Bosco.
The performance “Saints and Prophets of Charity of Turin” was written and will be performed by Team Members from Turin. The stage will feature Don Bosco, Don Giuseppe Cottolengo, Giulia and Manfredi Di Barolo, Pier Giorgio Frassati, Don Luigi Ciotti, and Ernesto Olivero. These men and women were able to recognize the fragilities of their time and sought to provide concrete answers to the people’s needs, inspired by the Christian ideal.
